I drove a TDI, getting 40-50mpg. Then I had a GTI, getting about 25mpg. Now I have the Mustang - 14mpg.

My commute is only about 14 miles round trip, so I really don't care about gas mileage. I just hate having to stop for gas every week instead of every month! Fuck me. Getting range between fill-ups is a luxury unto itself.

But no, gas prices doubling won't change anything for me.

I went from a commute of 56 miles each way to 9! I was filling up every 2.5 days for 3 and a half years (didnt matter if I was driving the Mustang or the F250). Now I make it almost two weeks between fillups.

I drive about 4-6k a year.
Not gonna hurt much.

e: but I do have a reservation for a Tesla 3, which will replace the 'stang in a couple years. I'm having my fun right now. I know it will end.

Try moving to the UK, then have a moan
If you are running a 5.0 Mustang, how can you worry about the price of Petrol
When i done my trips to Europe 3000 miles each time, people said i was nuts, worked out cheaper than hiring a car out there

I wouldn't have to. I'll just accept mileage in the high 20's instead of the low 30's  P.S. I get 28 MPG average on my commute...

I have 1900 miles on it in 8 months so it wouldn't effect me, just make me happier that my beater 2004 115 HP Honda Civic gets 35 mpg

My average in my Sang is still currently 13.1 mpg

My Lightning costs a lot to drive everyday. My 5.0 is way more fuel efficient. I drove my Lightning every day for 9 years. Back when gas was $3.50-$4.00 for a gallon of premium.

I typically go into work 3 days a week, it's 4.25 miles each way. My Mustang will be a third vehicle, only naturally aspirated vehicle (for now), smallest displacement engine by more than 2 liters and even tho my right foot knows only one position I expect better than the 12mpg that my other vehicles average. Don't see an issue here. :)

I don't give a shit. In my stable is a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited on 37's, a 2015 Chevy 2500 HD, and the 2016 Mustang GT. The Mustang is actually the fuel sipper of my fleet. :D

The GT is my daily driver, so aside from selling it there's not much I could do about higher gas prices except maybe carpooling. And there's no fucking way I'm carpooling.
