I doubt catback a will do much of anything, headers exhaust CAI and a tune will net around 35 to 45 hp from what I've read on here.

Well I respect the opinions but I know for a fact they get over 1.5...... my 2008 with just borla s type made 10 more horsepower. I'm more interested in header gains catbacks are just a nice fyi

You can't compare apples to oranges here. This is a totally different setup. With that being said, the general consensus is an exhaust won't do much unless you do the headers.

We won't know until someone does a dyno, swaps the exhaust out on the spot, and does another dyno with everything as consistent as possible.

Fact - multiple catbacks have been dynoed, same day, same dyno, back to back. AVG RWHP gains have been 1-3. Nothing more. This is across about 4 different catbacks on a bonestock car with resonator in place.

Now when you do long tubes, CAI and tune, the numbers have been above 40RWHP from a peak number standpoint. Area under the curve you ask? 50-55RWHP and higher in the mid-range.

You are getting more benefit from the weight loss with a catback then actual power increase.

Catback: 0-3. Headers with no tune: 15-25. Headers with tune and intake: 40-50.

I wanted to go all the way with mods to my stang (headers, tune, cai, etc.) but I was informed at the dealership that headers and/or tune would void your warranty if anything went wrong and those were the probable cause.

They said a catback exhaust is fine though, won't put your warranty in jeopardy. Not sure I want a CAI though, heard it does almost nothing as far as HP gains are concerned.

Catback next to nothing. Good gains with headers though.
