  1. Catch Can Options

from another one of my threads Having had great luck with Moroso products for years on other cars I chose to wait a few weeks for them to release the AOS kit, and glad that I did. Reason for this kit to others is that it is mounted remotely off the engine and is actully secured to a bracket...
  2. Hood Alignment issue! Rubbed to the metal!

Long Post/Rant Dealership: Montrose Ford, Akron Ohio and the body shop is owed by the dealership and resides on the same property. http://www.montrosefordakron.com/Collision-Center.html . When I called the Mentrose Ford service department they transferred me directly to this body shop The...
  3. Hood Alignment issue! Rubbed to the metal!

Took it to a body shop as per the dealers recommendation. They are filling a claim with Ford to get approval for the repair. In terms of fixing it myself, I have no problem doing that if I didnt have paint damage. As a result I will have them fix it along with trunk alignment issues and, hood...
  4. Hood Alignment issue! Rubbed to the metal!

So I just noticed this tonight and it is outrageous! The gap to the hood and fender is not an issue with the hood closed, but open it up and I get to see this :frusty: Anyone have any similar issues? Car has 5K miles and is 3 months old. Fender (plastic is the top of the headlight) Hood (to...

Consistently doing worst and worst each event as the tires at this point are completely shot and am down to the wear bars on the front and the rear. 5K miles, 9 autoX events with almost 100 runs. RIP Pirelli tires, you sucked but served me well.
  8. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

Looks like the 285/35-19 just came out in the new Rival, and the Start Specs in a 275/35-19. Just checked TireRack I might have to pick up those Rivals shortly. Little big for the front but perfect for the rear. Edit: looks like its the Rival, not rival S...Booo
  9. SCCA F-Street Setup. What's Everyone Done so Far?

I had the same concern as I am looking into buying new tires, and I was surprised how well the 275/35's fit on the 9" wide. About the ONLY thing holding me back from pulling a trigger on the 275/35 is the fact that the gear ratio's will drop. I already have a problem with some courses running...
  10. What did you do to your S550 Mustang today?!

Having had great luck with Moroso products for years on other cars I chose to wait a few weeks for them to release the AOS kit, and glad that I did. Reason for this kit to others is that it is mounted remotely off the engine and is actully secured to a bracket which should eliminate any issues...

After 8 events=70-80 runs and 4500miles the stock tires are dead. They are good to learn the car with, but are not very...

Also someone suggested these guys for serious full blown race car builds. Beyond what I would ever use, but the parts look legit http://fulltiltboogieracing.com/2015_S550_Suspension_Parts_and_Tools.htm

Followup to adding front camber. It was an instant difference in how the vehicle behaved. Instantly eliminated a huge amount of understeer and the car was much better at heat management of temperature over the front tires. Eliminated the front tire rollover all together and the entire tire is...

Not getting Recaro seat option. Kick myself in the ass for that one all the time.

This comment is going to open a whole can of worms for the internet engineers. But a low quality wheel will fail easier or be heavy compared to a higher quality counterpart wheel. 1400 is not expensive for a quality set of wheel and some parts you simply dont want to cut corners no matter if...

Honestly for what you are doing a camber bolt will work perfect. And they are very cost effective for under $30 for parts + alignment cost. Enkei PF01 seems to be the ticket. They are a quality cost effective wheel that are very light weight. Not $700 cheap, but you should be able to get a...

Just make sure that you have some good deburring carbide bit, as the metal is hardened and was not easy to enlarge to say the least. I ended up pulling front struts to do this. I just cant believe that Ford makes people go through so much trouble to add camber to the front of the car, its a bit...
