Hmmmmm. I live in the waukesha area and see loads of cars coming out of LMT. I've spoken with a handful of happy customers as well. They do seem mostly GM based but have had numerous coyotes come out of their shop. I used them for a header install and have only positive things to say.
Congrats man. My neighbor had a purple skat pack and it's beautiful. We eyeball each other's car all the time. Purple hellcat is about as cool as a purple car gets too. Enjoy it.
If I didn't get a Mustang I would have been all over a challenger in white.
I definitely dropped the sub frame. I tried doing one side at a time but neither me nor my wife were heavy enough to give me the clearance to remove the factory spring. Realigning the sub frame kinda sucked and I had one bolt that was a pita to start.
Man all you guys shifting at 5k or not going to red line are really missing out. The coyote make gobs of power over that. That's where it feels the strongest and fastest.
Thanks for the reply. I couldn't justify the added expensive of the konis for now. Went with the performance spring for now. Maybe down the line I'll do struts and the handling Springs. I was hoping the performance spring would have been closer to 200/800 weights. Just a little extra stiffness...
In their defense they want to give great service and a great product. If they feel that their standards can't be met for power adders via an email tune that's their prerogative. I'd rather have them keep their standards than give me a dicy tune.
I've been running it for 2 months or so. I find that my cold starts take extra cranking but nothing significant. I've also noticed that the car has a finicky throttle until warm. The car idle hunts if you blip the gas when it's freshly started and is running rich. Other than that it's been...
Blahaha a Gt would walk all over an sti. The sti is probably easier to drive fast due to awd though. The Mustang has a significantly better power to weight ratio and has more grunt everywhere.
Any suggestions for getting rid of the bracket after the headers are on? My shop didn't grind down the bolt and it's either touching or darn close. That's a tight fit, but I would like to get it out. Can the back of the bolt be reached from the underside of the car?
Your likely being fooled by the extra noise. The car is much louder with headers and you mind associates that extra volume with extra power. I felt the same way when I put mine on too. Trust me your making extra power it's just higher in the Rev range.
Just got back from a nice long highway cruise. CHT showed a consistent 220F with it going as high as 227F. Temps were quick to drop once I goosed it a bit, however I'm starting to wonder if my Evenflo thermostat is just a pile of crap. With everyone running temps at or below 200F, I'm wondering...
I don't think you can go wrong either way. It's a personal opinion choice, and to each their own. I personally like the 'Maros sound over my full exhaust GT. Just as I like the coyotes high revving nature more than the' Maros massive low end torque, but again that's personal opinion. Dick...
