Important thing i did after 800km,was wheels and tyre's. What a diff, as far as safety goes! I used nitto invo's. Great jap tyre. I'm running 295s rear. Wasn't game to go 305. Thought i might have rubbing issues, especially being lowered. On pics, yours look like they might rub on certain roads/bumps? Enjoy. looks great.Right way up for your easier viewing
Great to hear. How is your HP tune? Is it worthwhile over stock, with axle backs only and CAI? I want to pull trigger on a tune soon. But it's a minefield, with so many tuners. Don't want to void warranty, if it's not worthwhile.Actually they just fit, on the photos it looks like they might rub, but due to the camber when lowered the top of the tyre clears the body. I was worried about that beforehand

Oh its absolutely worthwhile. I purchased the Steeda CAI (tune required) that is, it is so big in the throat that it requires a tune. With their stock CAI (regular aperture) a tune was optional. I watched the dyno runs before and after and from memory it added around 50KW at the wheels. The axle backs probably only contributed a couple of those KWs, but they sound sensational. The car is punchier all through the range and it feels like it breathes way better. Also better economy, power delivery feels more instant and also more linier. Mustang Motorsport in Melbourne recommended the specialist tuner I saw in the ACT. It was a fun drive back to Sydney!Great to hear. How is your HP tune? So it was a worthwhile trip from Sydney then. 50kw, without fitting headers sounds great. But putting numbers aside, if it feel's much better, that's what matters.Oh its absolutely worthwhile. Yeah, they were strongly recommending headers, but with the axle backs adding so much extra volume already I was a bit gun shy. Still may do it at some stage as the car no longer sounds too loud to my ears.So it was a worthwhile trip from Sydney then. 50kw, without fitting headers sounds great. I don't think header will make it any/much louder, but it will add more power again. Up high in particular. Removing factory centre resi, will add much more volume. The slight hesitation i have with headers is, you have to use aftermarket cats. This alone, often makes cars EPA/emission, non compliant. Non compliant Tunes/catback exhausts, are easy to reverse. Unlike headers. Fitting cost of headers alone is $800-$1000. If you have to reverse that, well you get my drift.Yeah, they were strongly recommending headers, but with the axle backs adding so much extra volume already I was a bit gun shy. They worked on the tune quite a bit and various tweaks were getting more or less KW's but then they hit on the right balance it just went right up the chart!
FWIW, I've heard in person two Mustangs with the same catback system. One also had headers and was significantly louder than the other car. Not so much just cruising but with the right foot mashed there was a big difference in volume.I don't think header will make it any/much louder...
Ok. So i what i'm trying to say, if you where to, as example, ad headers to a factory type/or axle back only exhaust v removing resi, removing resi should give you more noise. In particular at part/half throttle and mid/low rpm. Sound quality, which is subjective, would be another matter.FWIW, I've heard in person two Mustangs with the same catback system.
