soccer mans speeding in their mini vans (obsolutely). But as an
older cop that once stopped me for speeding & careless driving
once told me "Son if I was your father I would take that car away
from you, before you kill yourself or someone else" "We are not
your enemy, we are here to protect & serve the public for the
greater good"

He was obsolutely right, ended up getting my 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
totaled street racing (three car accident) and Thank God everyone walked
away from that alive. :(

Cops. I was ticketed going 230 KM last night on the 407 (private highway in Toronto). Pretty screwed.

This is going to be a rather hard one to talk your way out of. The major reason being that it was dark and you were clocked at 143 MPH (to include overdriving your headlights).

Hopefully, they'll not charge you with reckless driving, to boot.

Yeah. I'm more worried about insurance to be honest. I am hoping the fact that it happened at 4AM with no other cars in proximity will have them reduce it. But I doubt it. It was so effortless and easy to get to that speed I honesty didn't even realize it until I saw the jackass pull out behind me.
