Wow! Thank you for this nice review.
The color I use is the closed I could find.
But there is a slight darker red version available since last monday. Yes there is!

That new color is slightly darker in tint. More red in it.
But it will never 100% match the US colors.

Why?
Well, we tint on top of the lights. The US versions are colored underneath the transparent plastics and therefore the overall look of the units are darker, more shining.
This is a look we will never get when sticking vinyl on top of the units.

Tell me... what should I do.
Stay with the color as it is right now.
Or switch to the slightly darker color?

I won't do both... for me it will be too much work to keep them apart

The new color is called "Deep Red"

The left is the color we use now.
The right one is the slightly more red color.

In my opinion, definitely more reddish is better! I just can't figure out how you made that photo? What is the orange down left?

I'd prefer deep red on my order Dennis if you haven't already posted it. If its left already then no problem, I'm sure Ill be happy.

I've put a light underneath it.

The bottom part is lit up. The top part is not.

As for all orders not produced by now we will use the Deep Red version.

If the gloss is the same, I will go with your another, deep red set, Dennis. If in this unusual case any discount if possible, I will gladly use it. If not, not a problem - ordering anyway.

The gloss is the same. It is the same vinyl (same series, everything) but just a bit more red.

I wish I could give you all a discount. But as mentioned earlier.... I don't make any money of these sets when I sell them for 35 euros.
I don't care. I do this for the community and I like to do something for fellow Mustang drivers.
But when I start giving discounts, I loose money on it. And that is not my intention of course

Just one question does it pass the anual controls in The Netherlands?
Or will you remove them?
Here in Belgium they do not allow cars which backlights have been made black.

About the controls:

I truly have no idea if it will pass.
The first 4 years a new car does not have to go to the controls.

But it looks like a factory color now. I don't think anyone will notice it.

I only have this set.
But I do have the light grey vinyl too.
This vinyl is not cut into ready to apply templates. But you can order a piece of vinyl for you to cut yourself.

It is the same glossy version but with a light grey tint.

Can anyone comment on Dennis's tint compared to the anchor room tint? I'm located in Australia and looking at buying a set of red tint but not sure which to go with. Due to the shipping cost Dennis's works out to be about $10-$15AUD more expensive. Happy to pay the extra if his is the better product though and looks closer to the original.
