Our spy photographers just caught a new Ford Mustang GT prototype testing on the streets of Dearborn with covered fog lights and vinyl-wrap camouflage over the entire front clip up to the A-pillar including the front splitter, bumper and hood. The prototype is also wearing a mismatched white rear bumper.
Given everything we know about the S650 Mustang production timing, recent teasers and statements from Ford about the Mustang Hybrid and a new high-powered EcoBoost Mustang coming soon, we think it’s likely that this prototype shows a 2020-21 Mustang cosmetic refresh timed to coincide with at least one new 2.3-liter engine, and possibly even the electrified V8-Mustang Hybrid model.
