Despite the Austin Cindric #158 GT350R-C victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, the #15 sister car driven by Scott Maxwell suffered a catastrophic crash when it edged into the #78 Boss 302R driven by James Vance.
Luckily, Maxwell walked away without any serious injuries from the crash, but the #15 car did not fare so well. Larry Holt, owner of Multimatic Motorsports, told the IMSA announcers that the #15 vehicle was only one of two Multimatic GT350R-C Mustangs in existence. As they do not have any spare vehicles, Multimatic will now have to build the replacement for the #15 race car.
