Ghost striping is awesome...it's usually done 1-2 shades darker or lighter depending on your base color. 1 shade you usually only see it in certain angles/light. 2-3 and you usually see them but they are subtle which is the point.

With Zombies, I'd go a shade or two darker then the guard to match the black wheels, etc.

I'm a big fan of ghost striping.
I would like to go with a Magnetic convertible with a darker ghost stripe approaching the color of the black roof.

I hope to, but youth hockey starts this weekend, so I am not sure how much I will be able to get this weekend. I really want to get a line lock vid for you guys, just not sure where to do it.

I'm thinking about engaging the line lock in my cal du sec, I'll need to put the word out to the other residence so they can get some pop corn. Of course this is after a good 800 miles of break in.

BTW congrats zombie that Machine makes me wet!

Either. If it's vinyl they sometimes use really fine sandpaper to blend it in but on high end custom jobs it's part of the paint.

Hmm.. I tend to be resistant to permanent cosmetic changes.. although yeah, not really permanent.. just takes $$

Pretty sure all the pictures posted so far were painted. It would also seem much less likely to get the right tint, texture, and depth with a vinyl sticker than a thin layer of paint. Although I'd love to be proven wrong on this.

My worry with Magnetic is to find a proper metallic vinyl to make the ghost look legit. I'm thinking just going with black but if there's something that would make a ghost stripe in vinyl, I'm down.

Hmm.. I have some vinyl and a large cutter (from a previous business venture) and I might just have t play around with it over the weekend. Maybe I'll try out fender hash marks.
