Thanks for the update. I think "clink-tink" describes the noise. I am going to have to go in and have this checked. It's a little surprising to have these go out so early. What did the service people say when you had the other one replaced?

Sorry if this comes through twice - first attempt failed. Mine makes the same clink-tink sound from the rear. I don't presume to be an expert but I was told it's because the rear pads aren't quite fitting in the caliper so they rock a little when the wheel begins to move. Sounds like a ceramic tea cup hitting something, right? Might be a manufacturing tolerance issue. For what it's worth, hope it helps.

I noticed this sound in the last number of months. I had been wondering if it was brake noise that became more prominent as the pads wore. I hear it mainly from the rear but I've sworn it has been in front also.

Thanks Caffn8d. Now I am starting to wonder if the sound REALLY went away after the replacement of the passenger rear. It started to grind so it was obvious, but I am not sure

It might have been two things at once, and I (and the dealer) just assumed it was the bearing. I'm thinking it could be the rear brakes (which was my first thought when I heard it.)

Not that I am hard on the brakes.. much.. ;)
