I can tell you for a FACT that you guys couldn't do anything to help me. I had more complaints and made more inquiries then I can even remember now. Your tune was total crap in all honesty. I shifted gears like crap (auto trans), wouldn't hold a gear long enough, rev issues, etc. I also had detonation (that I could actually hear). I was basically scalded in a way. I was told told " We just don't make Willy nilly adjustments". WTF! I didn't think that a properly shifting auto trans car was a big request.
I apologize for your experience, we have since made alot of adjustments to our staff here and have alot of new smiling faces that love helping our customers and will do their best to do so.

You guys should do the right thing and give OP his money back for the repairs.

Agree, the OP should be reimbursed for something after all of this. I had a crappy experience with a corvette build years ago and another shop went out of their way to fix the issues for free (caused by another shop) and gained a customer for life when I still had the car. Word of mouth and great customer service still goes a long way.

I agree 100%,OP is not responsible for all your turn over in your work force with all those new smiling faces going forward.
We are talking about what happened to OP Mustang that happens in the past.
DO The Right Thing,it will pay dividends in the future for your shop!

All I am hearing is generic customer service reel offs. Doesn’t sound like they are willing to talk about the OP’s issue or any kind of resolve to his communication frustrations with them.

Anyone reading this thread (which has 1000’s of views now) is undoubtedly going to avoid LMS.

I am happy to report my salesman called me today saying the car is good. He wants me to drive it to see how I like the drivability. He also said that working with the tune it's now dynoing 602 at the wheels. I can't get there for a few days because I live in the U.P. and helping my son move to North Carolina. I hope to get there Monday, T or W. Don't know the torque, but glad to see 600+ whp. I don't know if that's SAE or STD. I believe STD is a more inflated number, but not sure on that part.

The problem occurred from a factory part failing in the engine, nothing tune related, nothing that the customer did himself, just bad luck with bad gas PERIOD. You cant get garbage gas and expect a 11:1 Engine to live with stock parts.
So here goes, customer went to a dyno day. The dyno operator said to the customer its knocking excessively. He made one more pull and still heard knock (WHICH WE VALIDATED THE CUSTOMER STORY IT IS TRUE). We seen the graph the second run has spots in the graph that had 40 HP difference. Why because the Knock sensor was pulling as much as it could out. But if the gas was literally 87 Octane or not 93 this stuff happens.
Now the customer came back to us and we re-dynoed it and low and behold the factory knock sensor was actually adding timing? Why cause this was several days or week later and the customer had been through the bad tank of gas and it was doing what it was supposed to with correct gas. And no there was no drops in the graph or sounds of knocking when it returned. But unfortunately the damage was already done. Read any car that requires premium gas owners manual and you will see it is required to run premium! Anything other than this can RESULT IN SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE.
I'm sorry you want to blame Livernois for all this nonsense but in this case we have a smoking gun verifying that there was audible knock from another shop. This happens places get bad gas. I dont know what to tell you we have hundreds of these tunes and these kits out there with no issues.

Look we did what we think is the right thing to do gave the customer a smoking deal on the engine because of what happened. Stop with the nonsense.

Also this car has made over 600 RWHP now and will most likely make even more we are setting the thing to run close to 8000 RPM.
And we are going to make sure the customer drives this car before its released to ensure the drive ability is dam near perfect.

I started this original post to get feedback from people about what might have happened and not to knock anyone. If you read all the posts you'll realize I fully disclosed what occurred. The feedback from LMS is partly correct. My

601/476 with a cai and race shirt block and 3.1 pulley hmmmm

Mine made 591/478 with stock air box and stock block and 3.3 pulley.

Makes no sense to me.

I don't remember a post that said anything about taking it to dyno day and it knocking really bad on the 1st pull than doing a 2nd pull anyway.
