It's only three laps, but what three laps they are. The power, the handling, and the sound. Oh, God, the sound. Nothing else that was there, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, HellKitty, had a sound or got the attention of that red GT500. It stayed busy all day, while many sat idle for at least some of the time. Worht the money? Yep, Does it make me want one? Even more. Does it make me like the shift knob and lack of a third pedal? Nope.

It was amazing, and I can't give the people who put on this even though praise. For the many of us who never be able to afford the price of admission to GT500 ownership, it is the next best thing.

Killin me man, they cancelled their memphis event and its the only one remotely close to me! I was pretty pumped to get to try out a GT500 and a GT3 without a salesman in the passenger seat. So you would recommend I’m guessing? If they won’t refund the gift certificate, i may be driving 8 hours...

The people who run this show are pretty great. Car people who want their customers to have a good experience. You do want to add laps in the lead car (Chevy SS sedan), but impressive in its own right. One thing I did n't expect is that while waiting to drive (and there will be a wait) you get to a point where you can tell which car is going by just from the sound. And when its the Shelby...what a sound it has!!! The imports can take their football (or soccerball) home, American muscle rules!
