So, the first week in I plan to hopefully find and purchase a Kona 2019, Premium GT with auto and 401A only. I do have access to XPlan but was hoping to do a better. My question is would that be possible? I contacted one dealership and this was the reply from the manager

“As far as the GT goes, that is the lowest I can offer you. I do this everyday, and know the value of X-Plan. If I ever work elsewhere, and buy a new Ford, I will seek out X-Plan from some source (I don't like paying dealer fees either).

The car is 43,694.56 OTD with those options. That includes the 1500.00 rebate
Is he accurate and is it futile to try to get a better deal?

I work in sales and from my experience most of our internet pricing is way better than any XPlan. Can you send over the MSRP?

Hey and thanks for the reply. I believe it is 44,245.00 sound about right? That adjusted price is 40,735.00 then add in taxes etc.

our dealership offers anywhere from 4800-6000 off before incentive from Ford (the 1500 you mentioned) not sure of the tax rate in your area or dealer fees or add ons. but assuming its the same as ours i can help with some math. do you have a link to the vehicle in question? also here is a link to a similar vehicle on our lot so you can see pricing to help you negotiate.

When he priced it That was using XPlan, so I’m not sure they can add much in fees. The OTD price 43,694 was using XPlan and the 1500.00 rebate and then added taxes etc. I’m in North Florida and out to rate here is 7%. They don’t actually have one in stock that I wanted. That was doing a new build through Ford and then waiting on it,something I didn’t want to do..

I also sent this specific dealer a link to a Mustang in Sterling Va,Koons. He said their pricing was b.s etc...

So assuming the MSRP is 45000 add in sales tax makes it 48150 + doc fee and dealer adds lets round up to 49000. that would make the discount somewhere around 3800 before the rebate if my math is correct. (this isnt accounting for the 800 i added on top of the MSRP) Obviously Dealers are more aggressive with vehicles on their lot. If they are a high volume dealership they have better pricing and can likely do better on that price. Also not sure of the market in Florida being in Texas.

That makes sense, I wish I were closer, lol... the prices you list after the Mcdavid discount, does or does not include the 2000 conditional offer? Specifically on K5133924

So it would be the discount (4901) plus the rebate (2000) basically (6901) on that particular vehicle. probably one of our newer ones. we have a ton of people fly in because of our pricing. I pick people up from the airport all the time.

That’s a much better deal than here. I’m not sure what’s the deal with the dealers here.. As you can see from the quote they don’t want to make a deal and in my case sell a car. Thank you so much for the information

Quick google search shows Brandon Ford, Looks like they put the rebate in with the dealer discount.
