No secret to it..... I just used "currencyfair" you can see the exchange rate was AUS$1.6872:)

No other charges, they make their fee on the exchange rate..:)

Thanks for the info as I had never heard of streetfighter,I have just gone on their site but they mostly quote systems or 'fitted'.Are the cats equivalent of 'green' cats(kooks) and would they be legal here ,because if so then they are way cheaper than Kooks.I assume you contacted them with your specific requirements to get the price?

Nice one man, you should of said if you were visiting, could of met you there. At least were all running on same dyno which makes good for comparison, good lads at Ti Motorsport. :)

Can see where the auto converter locked.
Was a last minute thing....rang at 2pm and they said they could fit me in, so shot over there...

Bit frustrating, because I took my SCT to just chuck a canned tune in, but the car didn't recognise it or it didn't recognise the car...not sure,:shrug:either way it went back in the box unused, so a bit pissed off about that:rant:

That is a shame. :(

Your result is same as mine was stock anyway, when I loaded the SCT it went from 412 to 435 and the torque jumped to around 400lb/ft. So though it won't make you feel better as its a canned tune you'd get pretty much identical results.

My money is on you making around 480BHP with tune and headers, maybe more, cannot wait to see man as I need to decide headers or Pro Charger / Turbo next. :D

Yes I just contacted them and asked for a price for ceramic headers:)

There system comes with 100 cell cats, which I'm pretty sure wouldn't pass our emissions.

So I asked if they could make a system with 200 cell?? They said no, but they can supply 200 cell with flanges etc and I can get them made up myself....

So I contacted a local BMW specialist, whom also makes bespoke exhausts, and asked if the 200 cell would be OK...... he said he fits them all the time, and they haven't had any trouble passing emissions....
He also agreed to weld them up and get everything fitted so that the new headers will match up to my Borla...

Buying the cats is a bit of a keep of faith, and I have no guarantee that they'll pass the MOT.....but I'll worry about that in 2 years time..:)

I must have missed a step when I updated it on the computer, maybe it needs to be registered or something....

I'll get in touch with SCT and see what they say..

Having issues with mine too.

Having been back and forth getting updates and reading stock files etc etc, I'm now at the point where it tries to upload my Lund tune but says there's an issue saving vehicle stock data (error 110B8).

SCT haven't answered my query and reading reports a phonecall to their tech helpline could see me on hold for up to an hour! :frusty:

I'm sure Gibbo will know as I can't remember the order, but you need to update the X4, plug it into the car, read all the info, save that file to your PC, update again, then try and upload a tune.

Or something like that. Either way I ended up winging it to get to where I am now as the instructions made no mention of these "extra" steps.

Really sorry to hear you guys are having such issues. :(

When I got my SCT I connected it (some months ago) allowed it to do all its updating before connecting to car.

Then I just simply loaded the tune to the SCT using laptop and then I loaded it to the car.

I have since not updated the SCT however, so maybe one of their more recent updates has broken something.

Since you mentioned the cats issue, I popped into my local friendly RS/Ford Performance specialist today to ask about the MOT/emissions (they do MOTs). I have been reliably informed that MY car will definitely pass with whatever cats are fitted to it.

Oh don't think I did that buddy.

Got it, connected it too laptop, let it update itself. Then I loaded my tune file onto it using SCT software.

Then I just took it to the car and flashed it, at this point it saves the cars stock file to the device and then flashed the new tune file.

Then whenever I flash an updated tune I always return to stock first and then flash new tune, though plenty just flash over the top of old tune without issue.

Also the first time you flash if you get engine light come on you need to do crank re-learn which SCT can do and if you get low oil pressure warning do not worry just the tune file is incorrect and thinks you have mechanical pressure gauge when you do not, easy fix for tuner.

IIRC, first I connected it to the laptop to update, uploaded the tune to it and then tried to flash it to the car. Wouldn't recognise the car. Ended up having to read the car's info and then save that file to the laptop, update again, then try to flash to the car which is where I'm now getting that error.

Or maybe even with no cats. ;)
That too. :D

Excellent news:D:D:D

I have a local place that can "ensure" my car passes too:D

In fact I nearly went for the 100 cell from streetfighter, but then decided I'd go with the 200, in an attempt to get through legitimately...
Maybe a mistake if it still struggles, but I've made my choice, so I have to go with it....

Glad it's not just me with the SCT:lol::lol:

Let me know if you get it sorted:thumbsup:
