i dislike yank manual cars. in fact i wont own another one..not untill they can make a proper clutch and gearbox.

The engine still see's the same additional horsepower.

i aggree 100% .but the manual boxes in these cars are dreadful.
the clutch feel and gearbox feel is a big no no for me..i test drove a few manuals.
i owned 2 manual s197's
when they put a proper box in the mustang then i may buy one.

LSD makes it clunky on 1st to 2nd especially when cold but once warmed up I think its great compared to other manuals

well i have driven close to 2000 000 miles and driven thousands of cars.
every yank manual car i have driven has been shite..manual camaros the same..
they need to stop using chink gearboxes..

I would agree, when I got mine I could not drive or change gear smoothly. But it was all down to the stupid assist spring.

I removed it, much better, then fitted Steeda one, spot on and essentially $10. The gear box improved vastly just by putting in a new mount to stop movement, for me with these simple, cheap yet effective modifications the MT82 really is not that bad, if anything its only weakness is low speeds, but when I am driving like a hooligan I find it works very well.

yeah good point..that spring is a loada bollox.drive train slack and clunk is dreadful on the mustangs.
anyway it's only a gearbox..for a gt car i prefer auto anyway..these new autos are superb..as good as i ever need anyway

I've got a boomba racing mount on order hopefully bit of a step up from a normal bush insert should hopefully remove the slack once it finally gets here (xmas is going to screw this up I expect) I'll be able to judge better
