I dipped mine. Held up pretty well even in the AZ heat we have. 5 coats followed by 2 coats of glossifier.

That one at CJ Pony Parts is the genuine Ford emblem with out the tail lamp bezel. However if you want to match the black 5.0 badges from the factory or from Ford Performance you need gloss, not matte. The entire bezel is expensive from Ford, even used they are over $350. Easy to do.

I'm not necessarily needing to do completely stock, or bezel or anything. In fact, the emblem I have on there currently is probably the furthest thing from stock. That and I think Matte looks a lot better than gloss.... I actually don't know what the point of the post was now that I'm responding to it. Haha
