Ladies and Gents,

My name is Chris, and I finally met (and bought) the love of my life (now how weird does that sound :gossip:) on 11/07/15:

Mustang GT Premium

  • Exterior Color: Shadow Black
    Transmission: Automatic
    Tires: P265 20's summer tires
Wheels: 20" Foundry black painted machined
    Interior: Redline Premier Trim
    Media and Electronic Goodies:

    • 401A Package
      Reverse Park Assist
      Navigation

It's been 3 weeks, and she spends most of her time in the garage and it hurts so much. But because of work, I can get time to drive her on the weekends and its going to be forever until I pass the break-in point.

I'm completely new to American, new to modding, and totally new to tuning (mechanics I get, computers I just ).

I'm coming from an amazingly economical, super light-weight, golf-cart racing, lawn mower motor-sounding, got-me-through-college, the first love, a 2012 Nissan Versa. Other than gas, I dont miss it.

Smiles per gallon > miles per gallon.

So, meet Selina. Coated in black, she purrs, and gets me feeling way too good when shes turned on.

She's currently bone stock, not even any hood struts yet. I've been roaming these forums for like a year now and its finally awesome to finally have a car to work on.

Though I wish I was, I'm no mechanic, no tracky, my goal is just to make her as an amazing of a machine as possible for daily use and to tear it it up when necessary, when Gotham calls. My mod list will be in the post below, and updated, it prob wont be anything new (photos will just be within the thread, with updated overall photos).

Even after seeing all of yall posts for a year and getting inspired to an insane extent, if you have further modifications you recommend for the goals above, please post-- itll help a brotha out in figuring out what to do!

My goal: a daily driver GT that still packs power and authority to tear it up when beckoned. In the words of Teddy Roosevelt, "Speak softly and carry a big stick" :paddle:

I'm into any parts that can make that happen, so speak/suggest freely. Also into engine bay dress enhancements b/c sadly I am a sucker for an aesthetically awesome engine bay, which she already sorta has :headbonk:

MOD: JLT OIL SEPARATOR CATCH CAN

had 30 seconds before having to rush out and buy some ingredients to cook up some thanksgiving bacon-wrapped jalapenos ;) thought id pop this bad boy in. Consider it, regardless of how simple, mod #1.

Before:

After:

The fit and finish is perfect, install was extremely easy due to FoMoCo tubing--pure plug and play. Chose black b/c of its subtlety but even silver would've looked great. Apologies that the before and after are set differently, but you get the idea. Its not a crazy mod. Comment on is effectiveness will probably be posted after the first oil change.

Black Friday was the perfect day to do some small mods, and possibly the last chance I had to install these stripes.

Also installed red lines hood struts with minor difficulty and the diode dynamics taillight sequencer without much of a problem.

To expand on the hood struts though -- I encountered two issues:
1. The hole in the passenger side bracket for the windshield wiper fluid line didnt line up properly, but it wasnt a problem as I just tucked it by the knob on the bracket.

2. The hole cut into the battery cover was a little too small to fit well over the bracket. I made the hole a little bigger as well as a channel through which the battery cover can be removed without dislodging the strut in case of battery emergency.

Other than that, it was a perfect install and they work awesomely.

Finally took some shots of the Steeda CAI.

Another seemingly easy install that took wayyyyy longer than expected. But its quality stuff, so worth all the sweat!

And just another shot of the stripes ;)
