I'm installing the raxiom interior light kit on my base GT. They say to tap into the grey and purple wire. Apparently that's what taps into the lights. I want my interior light kit to be constantly running. I've got some amps installed and saw some taps into I'm assuming the accessory wire. I tried tapping that and it works fine except the lights do not come on until I turn the car. I'd like them to light up as soon as I unlock the car and stay in until the car is off and I'm out of it.

Any idea which color wire I would to do that. Tried searching and didn't find anything. They said a 12V power wire. That may mean something to someone but definitely not me.

Thanks guys!

I don't know the exact wire, but I would pop off the passengers footwell kick panel and carefully probe around in that fuse panel to find power that behaves the way you want, then use a fuse tap to access the power.

Having said that, do you really want the interior lights on all the time? If it were me, once I found the correct power location, I would wire the lights through a switch so just in case you did decide you wanted them off, you could turn them off.

I just want the ambient lighting all the time. It's blue. On my 13 the ambient lighting was always on. Not sure if they do this with the S550 of if they come off whe the dimmer goes out

I don't know which specific wire or fuse you should tap into, but you should be looking at the wire/fuse that powers the headlights or DRL's. This is because when you unlock the car, the DRL's come on, they stay on when you drive, and lastly they shut off when you leave the car and lock it.
