2015 GT Performance Package - Guard Metallic
I haven't seen anyone talking about this on the forum yet, so I thought I would start it off. It was a beautiful day in Northern California today. I had plastidipped my emblems this morning(which look bad ass against the Guard Metallic) and I was going to a friends house to show him the finished product as well as go look at a 2004 Mystichrome Cobra he is interested in. On my way back home I was driving through a section of highway that has a lot of construction going on, and as I was driving along I see a lag screw or bolt get kicked up by the car ahead of me. There was no avoiding it and it hit my windshield dead center. Now I have a quarter sized crack with a few wings running off of it already. Now I'm faced with the decision of seeing if I can get it filled or replacing the windshield. I've had a couple chips filled on my truck before, but this seems to be a little bit more of a substantial impact compared to those. In the end I guess I'll have to look at it like Forrest Gump would and just say "it happens".

Replace it. Don't worry about it.

Make sure they use a good quality replacement. I had a Murano screen replaced a few years back and I could see even before I got in the car that the new screen had 'ripples' in it.

Sorry to hear this. I had this happen on my previous 2010. There was a small divot with some spider cracks both inside and outside in the lower passenger side. Safelite repaired it, took away about 70% of the noticeable wound, then I covered it up with an Mustang Club of America window sticker. Just before I traded, after having this repair for 3 1/2 years, I noticed the small inside cracks had spread. I wound up getting the windshield replaced.
