My 2011 was an early production car and sat at "Ramp 5P" in Flat Rock for 4 Weeks then sat in a rail yard in Markham, Illinois for another week ... 13 weeks from order date to delivery ...
02/18/2010: Ordered
04/08/2010: Invoiced
04/15/2010: Built
04/26/2010: Original ETA
05/08/2010: Got a copy of CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN (dated 04/08)
04/??-05/14: Ramp 5P
05/14/2010: On Train
05/17/2010: Conveyance Mechanical Failure (in Markham, Illinois rail yard)
05/19/2010: Re-Scheduled Delivery Date
05/21/2010: Delivered to Dealer after hours (3 hours north of Markham train yard)
05/22/2010: Picked up inspected but “un-detailed” car (Saturday)
Build Date to Ship Date was over 4 WEEKS (guessing various QC holds)
My dealer is only 450 miles from plant, yet it was IN TRANSIT for 1 WEEK
This was the 5th Ford I have special ordered since 1994, so I've learned to be patient.
