Seems to me that there are (2) separate issues being tossed about on this topic. First, the outrage that some have of Dealers selling a Limited Edition 2015 Mustang for OMG up to 10K "over" Invoice? First of all for those low intelligence complainers, there are only (1964) being made! Supply and demand! You pay, you get, you can`t or won`t pay, you don`t get. Buy another Version, simple. On the matter of the VIN number ending in "666", who the heck old enough to be able to purchase and drive this Vehicle still believes in Fairytales? First of all, the so called Devils Numbers is supposed to be 616 (not) 666. Would you move out of Topeka, Kansas cause their Zip Code is 66601?
I think calling a persons religious beliefs fairytales is a bit much in a public forum.

It isn't market value at all. Nor is it supply and demand. Two things are occurring. Dealers are cartels (because they hold the power of selling cars) and Collusion. The dealers are colluding with one another in artificially inflating prices.

I truly apologize if the comparison of worrying about the last 3 digits of a VIN # with a superstition of the number "666" is other then a Fairytale. What about the number (13)? I`m ok with Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny as well as the Tooth Fairy. They are all pretty much equivalent to being spooked by the number 666. Why didn`t the good folks of Topeka, KA protest when the Postal Service gave them Zip Code 66601? Should they have bestowed that on New Orleans? Again, I apologize to those that "fear" Six Hundred and Sixty Six for whatever their reasons. Cheers

You, as a consumer have a choice, purchase or pass. The NFL and MLB have a cartel on both Super Ball Tickets as well World Series Tickets. Ford Dealerships are licensed franchisee`s are allowed to use the MSRP as a guide. They can discount as market conditions pressure them to do so as well as raise the price to respond to limited availability and market pressure for the Vehicle. A willing seller and a willing buyer, simple. What if a Dealership simply transported one of these 1964 Limited Edition Mustangs to an Auction House? Manheim or Barrett-Jackson. Let the bidding begin.

I think you don't get it, I don't care about the number, I dislike having my religious beliefs mocked in a public forum. To me it's no different than insulting someone's sexual orientation or race.

You can think the persons reasoning is stupid, that's fine, but taking a stab at their religious beliefs is uncalled for. And it violates the TOS/Guidelines

10) Prohibited Topics — Topics related to politics, religion, pornography, street racing, or illegal activities are prohibited. The reasons why should be self-evident.

For the last time, I`m sorry you were so offended and I apologize. Now remember your mandate for "forgiveness" correct?

If dealers were really colluding with one another, do you really think that they would just do it on 1 very limited run vehicle? If dealers were out there artificially increasing prices why would they not just do that on every vehicle. If every dealer got together and said "no discounts on any car" that would drive their profits and screw us as consumers. Instead you have dealers that advertise and sell vehicles for a loss just to earn market share. What happens is dealers end up cutting their own throats trying to compete with each other...far from colluding genius!

He is still upset about his LE being sold out from under him for a markup over MSRP to another person.

As opposed to all the aristocratic intellects who insult other people's intelligence simply because they disagree with an opinion?

Dealerships absolutely have the right to ask what ever they want for their cars, but since when does that mean they are immune from criticism when they add dealer markup to vehicles?

Damn right I'm upset!! That's not the story though.. Whomever believes that what evil, greedy, corrupt car dealers are doing is capitalism, then people are in denial. It IS collusion by textbook definition. If one can't discern that, then no wonder why people are so easily fooled.
