Why do I only get 7200 rpm instead of 7500?

Hilarious.

Buys 8000rpm capable sports car to keep it at 5k rpm.

You wear New Balance shoes?
And yet you continue to be stupid. Please run your Mustang up to 8k in every gear. Do it non stop.

Ah, here it is. This is the insult lmao

Ive hand assembled more of these motors than you have underwear, little buddy.

Timing chains "stretching" because of a 7500 RPM shift is hilarious at best.

Absolutely beat the snot out of her, until 8 grand appears ON DEMAND.

Don't take shit from a engine.

Old Boss 302 members were convinced that Ferrari built the B302 engine, and it could withstand 7500 for days on end, cold or hot, as it was not based on a cheap ford small block.

Delusions continue to exist....as Graham Hill once said..speed costs money..how fast do you want to go?

I put my 80s short shorts and new balances on before I bang gears at 8k. It really throws the vette guys off.

But in all seriousness a gen 3 coyote can take 8k shifts all day with a good tune and good fuel.

There is great thread about Warranty litigation and HPDE in the GT350 forum. Many other threads about engine failures, are great reading.

Ford has been pretty generous so far in buybacks and engine fixes for some

From the 1969 Ford Boss 302 guides, page 6:

"Competitive Events are defined in the Warranty as formal or informal time trials (street), competition with any other vehicle any abnormal application of stress to the vehicle or components therof in a competitive situation.
If you intend to modify it for competition use, neither the Ford Motor Co can continue to offer you warranty protection ."

That is what we all lived with thru the decades, and I have to say 8000 rpm shifts in a SCCA T-1 race for 25 minutes doe have a "half life".

Keeping a car viable and its value up is part of ownership and abusing the snot out of it like an electric fan is just fools gold.
Signs of abuse may be hidden in the VDR.

I must add that anyone who has rebuilt dozens of the coyotes.................simply proves that they do not like 8000 rpm............. for regular of periods of use.
