My dent also happened prior to paint.

How do you know this? Many dents happen with zero paint damage and can be spectacularly repaired. I've had them repaired and forgotten where on the car they previously existed.

Mostly based on location, it's right near a crease in the body panel. I'd expected it to have taken off paint at the crease if it were post paint. Could be wrong though!

I wouldn't sweat them too much, then. I had a ding like that on car where the car fell off the jack stand and the jack dented the door right by the crease. Zero paint damage. PDR'd right out.

The car is out of paint and I'm pretty sure it was NOT handled any differently. There is nothing in the system starting SCP. The good news is my car has been painted and will be in "trim" within the next 24 hours.

I had all of that. But that's exactly how my luck always is.
2 broken front bumper tabs on the core support.
Door ding
Hood ding
1/4 panel ding
Both ground effects were dented (gouged)
Rear bumper cover had paint metallic sag
Center console had a gouge
Big paint chip on the hoods edge that the factory touched up with a fking brush.
Crooked ott stripes
Scuff mark on right door interior panel
Nail in left front tire
Perfect new car for $65k

Man I'm surprised you still took delivery. What day of the week was your car built? The Friday before a 3 day weekend!

Would be pretty cool if some of your buddies in the FRAP could snap some pictures while in the paint booths, trim area or the mod shop.

I especially would like to get a look at the generic wheels the assembly line uses when these R models move down the production line prior to getting to the mod shop where the CF wheels and CF spoiler are installed.

Whatever the case I can feel your excitement and look forward to some pictures once she gets home.

Has anyone advised you of your chassis number?

I wondered the same thing. Unsure if it's the lighting or what. :shrug:

Wouldn't it be a hell of a note to have the wrong stripes on the car.

Strange. You can see the red stripe on the steering wheel, offset slightly to the right on the wheel. Maybe the red gets added with the wheels and wing....
