went to pick up wife's Ruby Red GT PP with premium trim and 50th AP and we had issues with both seats in car. First the leather was los on the side of seat for the driver's but the biggest disappointment was the white stitching mainly on passenger seat. On the side of the seat about half way down, the stitching that is supposed to be white is brown in color for about 6-8" then back to white. there is also an area too on driver's seat on lower left side near bottom. I am not sure if anyone else ahs seen this but they are calling Ford to see how to handle and I wont take delivery of car until I have answer. Just wanted to see if anyone else has seen this.
I have a GT PP as well that I picked up in Nov and don't have this issue.

BTW, her car was one of them that was held for a month at Flat rock during build week 2/2

My first thought was a Clorox stain pin. But new covers are better.

Picked up mine yesterday and just noticed today the exact problem you describe. I'm going to take pics and send to my dealer tomorrow.

BTW, mine was in the infamous hold of the 2/2 week builds as well.

I have dyed mine orange anyways, so didn't see any mixed thread colors.

Thanks, I hope so too. I've emailed my salesman pictures and have an appointment on the 7th for her to be undercoated so will get into it deeper with them then.

Keep us updated on the new covers.

2cool - I'd love to see your seats with the orange stitching!

I have this exact issue. I just noticed this today and I now have 300+miles on the car. I just want this fixed.

Im guessing the seat covers include the stitching? My leather in the drivers seat is loose as well. I'm really disappointed to find this from a brand new 42k car.
I have an appt next friday, and lets hope ford takes care of their customers, as this is my first ford.

Found this too on mine 2 days ago. I couldn't believe it and actually thought I did it. It's on both front seats. I have cleaned the interior twice already and only have 900 miles on it. I am very picky. Still can't believe I didn't see this before. I found this thread last night and went to the dealership today. They already got the approval to replace the seat covers from ford. Must be a TSB to get approval that fast. Anyway, I was checking their inventory on the lot while I waited and saw this on 3 S550's on the lot(they called me over before I could check the rest). Every one I checked had the problem. They were GT, GT premium 50th and a V-6. I guess the problem is not specific to certain models.
So if you have a S550 with white stitching on the seat backs, you might want to check your stang.
The dealership was really good about it. I will report back when they schedule to replace the seat backs.

How long did it take for the covers to come in? Did they do both top and bottom?

I have my appointment this friday, and I'm hoping they take this seriously.

Can you share the pics you took? Trying to see if I have this problem as well.

Thanks.

Did they fix the loose leather you're talking about? I think all cars have this loose leather problem. Maybe it isn't a problem. But loose leather definitely makes the car less "upscale"(?).

So I checked my seats. I have those stains... both on the passenger side and driver side.

Is there a TSB for this? And what does it mean to replace the seat covers? Do they remove the leather and replace it with another?

Thanks.
