I'll investigate but I'm hoping this is on a non PP car so there is no brace there from the factory?? Hoping anyway

Thanks Jaime! Do you happen to know what size pully your being sent with your system? i.e. 4" = 8lbs. Boost, 3.75" = 10lbs. Ect.

I don't know what size comes in the kit. It gets here in a couple of weeks so I'll let you know.

Dang it! Not trying to cause any alarms here but...

I was looking at the Whipple Youtube video posted by Vernichtung and if you look closely, the K-Brace is missing on the left side of the motor. You can see it though on the right. What the heck?

On the Ford /Roush SC, i can see why because of the intake tube running to the back. But why on the Whipple? I hope I'm wrong! Take a look and tell me what you think.

I'd sure like to see the install manual for the Whipple before I order.

Here's my 2¢

The car in the video is most likely is a GT without PP. Lets take a closer look again at TorkN8R's picture.

And now a close up of the one in the YouTube video

TorkN8R's original picture for reference

If you look where the brake master cylinder is you can get a gauge as to where the path of the brace comes out from under the cowl cover on both cars. If you then look at the cowl cover (on TorkN8R's original pic) and notice the 4 push pins holding it down you'll see the brace comes out between the 2nd and 3rd pin if counting from right to left. When you compare this in the other pictures you'll see where it would come from on the installed car and it looks to in no way interfere with the SC install. I will be doing some more research because as I hold these pictures up to my engine bay I'm starting to think the strut tower brace fitting over the SC is a possibility. The ONLY factor in this case is the height of the SC. If it doesn't, it doesn't. The K brace is the true integrity of the setup anyway.

Just my 2¢ (although I will be calling Whipple today!)

Jaime

Jamie...I do hope your right and it's a non- PP GT. It would surly suck if for what ever reason we did have to butter knife up our K-Brace.

Listen Bro...and of course this is your decission, I'd get Whipple to email the install instructions (PDF) just to be sure. I's not ideal, but if it was me, I'd cancel my order until this gets sorted out.

If it turns out it is a PP, than I don't know whats next for me...Shite!

Just for laughs...did you notice in the Whipple/Youtube vid, looks they took apart the sound tube at the knuckle just before the push pin attachment tab on the STB and capped it off. Lol!

So, I just hung up with Whipple.

1. The video we've seen was a preproduction car before they even started building them so we can pretty much throw that factor right out the window. Too many unknowns.

2. The kit will have a firewall plug for the deletion of the sound tube

3. The instructions are not done yet. So, I imagine no kits will be shipping in the immediate future for this reason alone.

4. I was told that they have 2 other cars that have had kits installed on them. I think I brought up something they didn't even think of as far as the K brace on PP cars. He did tell me that they DID NOT have to cut any brace for the installation on these two cars. One is theirs, one is a customers. I asked if either one was a PP car and he did not know. I asked if either one had black rims and he said they were both black cars WITH black rims.

Sooo, I am going to assume that means the GT's they just installed on ARE PP cars. I get the fact that this is only an assumption but I feel pretty good about it. I have NOT cancelled my order and will not cancel it because Im not worried.

He also confirmed what Tasca told me. he said the kit takes 2-3 weeks to assemble then 1-2 weeks for shipping (depending on where shipped)

Thanks for the video! Freaking beautiful. I'd give my left nut to see some under the hood shots.

I really like the look of this whipple setup. 660 rear wheel numbers at what boost level was that? 8 or 11 psi? Will it live at that level or would 8 psi be better?

Any prices yet?

Nice looking setup!!

Thank you for the awesome pictures. I just have a couple questions.

1. This looks to be a PP car based on the black wheels but I'm not seeing the K Brace in the pictures. Did Hennesy remove or cut it for the install? It looks like there is caster/camber plates on the strut towers?

2. The overflow tank has been replaced. Is this a separate mod or is it part of the Whipple kit?

My 2012 lived at 650 wheel for awhile shifting st 7,000+rpm. Once I bumped it to 750 wheel a rod snapped and took everything out, including the blower. 2015 shortblock is stronger. 650 wheel with a quality tune and common sense should live just fine.

Nice Jamie! Glad to see the brace in that photo. That makes me feel a lot better. I'm sure you as well. I really like the matching red air element shroud. I wonder if it's that way for the other colors, that would be nice!

What color did you order?
