So i filled my car up and then put it away for about a week then i went to drive it the other day and it stalled 3 times. On the 4th try it finally leveled off and started and was fine until about 10 miles into my drive i threw a p2096 code.

I cleared it to see if it would come back and in about 2 more drive cycles it came back again. Today i went to run my car and it almost stalled again on start up but it eventually was fine. Im starting to think i got a bad batch of gas. Hoping to run it down and fill up again and everything is okay.

Has anyone had this code or type of issue?

Post catalyst fuel trim system too lean bank 1.

symptoms:
Rough idle, Poor fuel economy, Poor acceleration, Misfire, high catalytic converter temps, Possible spark knock (detonation / pre-ignition)

Possible causes:
Low fuel pressure caused by a clogged filter, failing fuel pump, failed fuel pressure regulator or clogged or leaking injectors.

A large vacuum leak

air leak in exhaust at or near the bank 1 rear o2 sensor

This happened right after i installed defoulers wondering if my car just doesn't like the defoulers. I also had someone with a vmp have the same code and they said it was most likely bad gas because they had run their tank down and refilled with new gas and the light has not returned.

Defoulers can cause it. Not sure they would cause the stalling issue. Did you delete the cats? Ditch the defoulers and look into sensors simulators from URD. Or just get your tuner to delete the rear sensors in the tune if passing emissions are not a concern.
