Lund doesnt use the computer to turn on the fans they use a "key source" so i disconnect from the connector in the back of the motor get the 2 green wires put one to a fuse and other to a ground i was told from whipple.
So i recently switched from the whipple tune to Lund. Lund told me i have to have the fans and IC wired to "key source". I contacted jeff at whipple and he told me i need an add-a-circuit. How exactly do i go about doing this. Which wire am i tapping into?
This happened right after i installed defoulers wondering if my car just doesn't like the defoulers. I also had someone with a vmp have the same code and they said it was most likely bad gas because they had run their tank down and refilled with new gas and the light has not returned.
So i filled my car up and then put it away for about a week then i went to drive it the other day and it stalled 3 times. On the 4th try it finally leveled off and started and was fine until about 10 miles into my drive i threw a p2096 code.
I cleared it to see if it would come back and in...
My car did this when i first put my whipple on almost sounded like a slight miss... it went away in a week or 2 i think it needs to learn cold starts. Idk about the bad gas mileage tho cause ive never gotten good gas mileage lol
I wouldn't suggest it either way cause you never know and u don't want to replace your bottom end. I used to tool and didn't realize the balancer was all the way on and actually broke the bolt in the crank and lets just say i had a rough night...
I got the bolt out and all was well but its...
I bought a long reach harmonic balancer install kit you can buy it online or rent it from most auto parts stores just make sure it has the right threat pitch
