I can say without throwing stones it performs better because of the complex internal multi-stage design and also it has proven to be one of our biggest sellers as we have already sold 700+ units since we released it a few months ago.

Everyone loves it because of how good it controls oil and how simple it can be taken apart and serviced. Yes we did test it against all the other systems to come to this conclusion.
Sweet I think I'm going to give you guys a try I'll be placing my order :D

Just a quick update for you as some PCV systems work better than others and ring seal etc. But after looking at the picture of the JLT mounted on your car it's only protecting the top half of the sysetm and exposing the rear line. The JLT mounts on a T right at the back of the valve cover and it only protects the up line and not the line going to the back of the blower.

You should really look into a Bob's or ask JLT to install the system correctly and have the can go between the valve cover / dirty side to the feed the T not just split the T at the Top and let the bottom stay wide open.

BTW, VMP rocks and I love his setups.

I'm glad you have had good luck though.
I'll be the first to admit, I'm not an expert on the ventilation systems on these cars.

However, I'm pretty familiar with them and have a substantial amount of experience with the latest generations.

I can see on paper, and in theory how the exposed line could allow for unwanted oil vapors/residue to enter the lower manifold. As I stated above, we run this same system I have pictured on our VMP Supercharged 2011 GT. I've got that car torn apart right now in our R&D facility, and have inspected every part thoroughly. I can assure you, that exposed line did not allow any noticeable oil through to the lower intake. If I did see anything that concerned me, you can't possibly believe I'd put the same system on my brand new supercharged S550 that I've worked very hard for.

As for my car, I've spent a tremendous amount of time building it with prototype parts. As you can probably imagine, most parts have required some attention to get set up properly, and in perfect working order. Especially the mods that I've had to make myself, due to non existence. The tuning process has begun, so I plan on having results soon. Of course, that's a chore in itself due to there not being any other combos like mine out there.

And yes, VMP stuff is great. I'm lucky to have the relationship I do with Justin and crew. They've treated me very well over the past 8 years or so. I highly recommend anything they have to offer.

Wow. Upr throwing stones!!

Well since upr has the LONG standing reputation of stealing others designs, whose design is this? It's impossible to hide the proven fact of the upr design theft over the years, along with poor quality welds, inferior materials etc.

Silver horse racing comes to mind, along with spence hart the list goes on.

I challenge anyone to search upr problems.

They have a lot of people that run a upr sticker. Because they give $300 to win and $150 to runner up if you have the sticker on your car. Not necessarily the parts. For the life of me, I could not find a upr part on bill gliddens pro car. Or a upr sticker on a car with all team z suspension.

Don't throw stones from your glass house.

Why did "billet depot" start? To get away from the poor reputation upr has? Hmmmm

To set the record straight with all the things you mentioned we had many people involved with the decisions that were made and I wish I had let those people go back in the day. I cannot claim a perfect track record, we made many mistakes as a young company. The quality issues and so many other things were during growing pains and utilizing many manufacturers.

The quality problems or welds with our suspension were never the real issue it was more the fact that of how fast we grew and proceeded to overcome the market and that the overly competitive nature of things created waves. We never used inferior materials for anything as I only used AED for chrome-moly from day 1. They are one of the largest suppliers of CM in the country and also the main source for NASCAR and many others.

Silver Horse was a ridiculous situation as I started to develop the 2005 fuel door before anyone and else and used a company called K&N machine who was developing the door on a car I rented from Wayne Akers Ford and in the middle of that Hurricane Wilma hit in 2005 and we were closed for 35 days in our season. The K&N machine proceeded to offer up our product while we were struggling to stay open and keep our employees safe with job security.

As Marcelo was coincidentally the guy the sold the machine to K&N and he ran with our project because K&N was not a stand up machine shop or he just needed money to keep going through the same nightmare from the Hurricane that just passed through. I clearly remember that Marcelo had recently copied a JLT design for themselves and Shelby. Jay Tucker flipped and went on a smear campaign against them.

I watched the whole thing and never got involved because that is business and competition. No one had any patents or files disclosure so does that mean they are not entitled to build a product? This is america and many of the great things that we all enjoy are because of evolution and continuous improvement to build a better, different or more affordable product for all of us to be able to get more for our money.

We are not big in contingency like the $300 or $150 comment with decals. You are entitled to your own opinion and that is perfectly fine with me. The parts are the biggest reason for the decals since we sell more Uppers and Lowers and ARB's with Sphericals than any other company. I know your rebuttal is going to be price is why. But doesn't the world revolve around price ? The quality and proven performance is the real world reason and we sell in the neighborhood of 3500 K-member kits a year and close to 5000 rear suspension kits.

As far as Billy he is a close personal friend of the family and always supported us and as we do him. Everything we have done with Billy was private and never disclosed as he has always been the most hunted and stand out performer in the Mustang arena. He has helped us with many ideas we use today and Billy and Shannon are very close personal friends. I never use him as a defense out of the great respect for him.

Billet Depot started because my ex father in-law and his friends wanted UPR to get on amazon and ebay to further expand our reach and columns / pillars in business. The Billet Depot name was adopted for my son to create a business for him to one day take over. Our reputation has never been the problem as much as the people that were not as well versed in business as we are. Coming from the background with my ex-father in-law was were our business soared.

He made us shrink our profit margins and use better material and make larger purchases to create a strong business advantage. A few of his close friends who help steer me as well was the Barry Smith the owner of MEMOREX and Victor Grillo who brought the first ab roller to market and tens of thousands of other products. Everyone has known or used. The reason for the long explanation is to finally shed some light on the incredible opportunities that helped us grow.

That is the reason behind Billet Depot and our business profile. I have since expanded into many other business in many industries and UPR is going to be left to my daughter along with the Billet Depot brand that we have been developing for other private label manufacturing products. Notice we have since been switching everything to the UPR name and separating the Billet Depot name for other opportunities.

I liked the read as it made me smile this morning and I wanted to say thank you for putting it out there so I could clear the air. You will not see or hear of anything you mentioned with the current UPR as we had changed the bad apples that were continually ruffling feathers on forums and the marketplace.

Her is another thread stirred by competitors and followers that don't really know the truth that my father responded to on the quality of our products. I guess it's good though because the more it gets pointed out we can eliminate the myth and show the real world quality and what UPR is all about.

I have bought several UPR products for my mustangs through the years and never had any issues or complains with those parts...and actually want to buy the catch can next although $200 is slightly out of my budget might wait for a discount code or sale but it's on my wish list!

Great posting here. I have a new found respect for UPR and look forward to purchasing one of your catch cans. Count me as a definite interest for a group discount.

I am interested in UPRs system, it was either UPR or Bobs. The only reason I didnt buy Bobs is because I saw UPR get in the game and was really pleased with the product I was seeing. Now, if there is a good price and maybe some free shipping on the $149 unit, I will purchase the same day.

I know its completely off topic, but my father worked for Barry at Memorex for over 15 years, until he sold off to Imation. Its a small world I tell you, I have been to his house and friends as well as my dad did some work for him, personal of course (camera systems/Audio and video/home automation, etc). My father working there was my inspiration to follow a career in IT, as he was one of the senior IT members on site. Anyway, thought it was pretty cool to hear these names out of all places in a car enthusiast forum.
