Looks good, Ryan. I've got one on order from Speed Dawg, but as a DYI kind of guy, I'm curious as to how you drilled it out to accommodate the reverse lock out.
I used a piece of parchment paper to trace a circle around the stock knob where the cut out is to get a size estimate, than cut out the circle and put it on the bottom of my new knob and traced with a sharpie.

Then I used this dremel tool http://www.amazon.com/Dremel-194-High-Speed-Cutter/dp/B00008ZA00 to bore out the circle and inside to accomodate the reverse lock out.

I then used the tool to cut out the nut that threads in, bored out the knob a bit more so the nut can drop in a bit, and used permatex epoxy for advance auto parts to fill in the knob a bit more and hole the nut in place.

Well, looks like you did a good job and the knob is sitting like it should on the shifter. Saw your reply above. Hope it proves durable for you. I would think it would. A good expoxy is very strong.

Thanks. Not sure because after 2 days the epoxy is still a little tacky, supposed to be fully cured in 8 hours. Honestly if speed dawg comes out with an official one without the need for an adapter that has stripes like this and a 5.0 on the side I'll probably still buy it. It sits just a tad bit higher than it should, when I went to test it I must have got some epoxy in the threads and the nut yanked out when trying to unscrew it, so when I heated up the epoxy and added some super glue it didn't go all the way back in to where I hat it, so it's about two to three rotations above where it should be. I can always redo it but between work and being frustrated with my exhaust haven't gotten around to it.

Yeah. DIYs can be a little frustrating but it's a good feeling when they work out. Good luck with your shift knob and exhaust. I'm running Ford Racing's touring cat backs with a Bama tune and I'm happy with the set up, although I know the touring cats might not be for everyone.

Well I did the lethal H pipe delete and had a muffler shop weld on some Magnaflow's 10416 mufflers, pretty much same setup as another user on here. Problem is for me for some reason I'm getting head splitting drone over 60 mph. Don't really have another $400 between a new set of mufflers and the install to fix it. So yeah frustrated...

Mine's on order too, Scott. Should be here in a couple of more weeks.

I went with one licensed by Ford. Black with red lettering and numbers. It will have the 5.0 numbers on the side. I'm hoping for a top quality product from Speed Dawg.
I chose plain white with the shift pattern. No Hurst or Ford logos. Also requested the engraved shift pattern as the old school shift knobs were.

What's the thread size? I couldn't find one to fit on their site. Speeddawg that is.

Can't remember off hand. Looking for my e-mail receipt. It should have the thread size.

I found the thread size, just nothing specific to the lock out recessed fabrication.

Here's what I ordered under the "Adapter" drop down. It has the thread size.

Adapter: 12mm x 1.25 ('15 Mustang with Reverse Lockout)

Apparently, they have to send it out for drilling. So it's taking two to three weeks.

Where do you specify that this is what you want. It only gives you options for the thread size and button thing.

Is that some factory option? Has a Chrysleresque feeling to it! :D
