Got it but I think the 6R80 will handle more than enough power for 99% of the owners; if they can take 600+ from a GT...well....it will take quite a build to achieve those numbers on an EBM.

Ummm...regardless of the 'strengths' of the transmissions, a manual can be abused infinitely worse than an automatic, which is what I said in the first place...

Still thinking about some suspension upgrades, maybe steeda springs. I am thinking if hitting the suspension first to improve the handling.

I also need a catch can but kind of lost track on which one was the one to go with, looks like a few options out there.

Well I purchased the upr single sided catch can. I need an oil change next week anyway and also need some new spark plugs installed so going to get it all done at once.

So after that it will be intercooler or suspension.

Just to confirm inlet air temp is controlled by the IC correct? Or is it the CAI?

Both although FMIC will have much more impact on reducing the temps. CAI is usually to fix the air intake placement, but it is actually quite good already on the S550.

EDIT: If you are talking about the gauge in the dash, that one is at the intake, so a CAI is the only way to impact that specific reading.

SO my catch can arrived. Wish I could install the thing myself, but really dont think I would be able to pull it off without worrying i effed it up. So I will find someone to do the install. Also ordered spark plugs and some Steeda Springs.

Next will be an intercooler. Not sure if I am going MAP or Mishimoto. I want something that fits over stock parts and does not require any cutting etc. Need to do some reading up on which one makes sense for me.

Sounds like you are on the right track. I believe we spoke through PM regarding our intercooler. In addition, check out our development thread below if you have a moment (it's Friday, you shouldn't be working anyway right?). This thread covers our process for design and testing.

Let me know if I can answer any additional questions!

Bringing this thread back to life. I have been taking it really slow as far as modding goes. So far only the catch can and steeds progressive springs.

I am gearing up to finally get the car where i want it to be. I have been waiting to kind of see what other options come out and how the field changes over time. Things have really changed as far as options go for modding in the 14 months since I got the car so I am glad I waited. Doing taxes tomorrow so hopefully i will be getting a nice fat return to buy some goodies.

This is kind of where I am at.

1. Next up is going to be intercooler. I think I am set on going with Levels. I am not crazy about removing shutters, but does not seem it will hurt much and I can always return to stock later if i need to.
2. exhaust. I am down between solo and MF street. Was all set to go with the magnaflow but after doing a lot of looking at the solo today I think that might be the way to go. Not sure I can swing the full turbo back so might go cat back. Or just bite the bullet and get the whole thing now. A little concerned about it sounding to loud but hopefully it won't be too bad.
3. Tune+ tune. Not sure if I want to continue to wait for ford tune so I probably go with a tune from adam.
4. If he gets them back in stock will probably also do the tune+ modified westgate. If not will probably go with some other one.

I think that is about it. I will probably shop around for best deals and get set for an April install. We are going away for a week in April and figure that would be the best time to drop it off with the install shop. Might also get GT350 steering wheel and a couple new interior parts but I think these changes will be it for the performance side. Then I might make a move to sways and call it a day. Well maybe some new speakers :)

Loving this car so far. About 27k miles in and going strong. Hopefully many more years of service to come.
