When you added your Big Worm racing stripes did they......

When any of you guys added racing stripes did they have to take your spoiler off or tuck the vinyl around it?

I've got a GT500 spoiler sitting in the basement and I'm trying to decide if I need to order from Big Worm TODAY, so the body shop can do it all at once, or I can space out the expenses a little bit. The whole "I'm just going to do one or two things honey" has turned into about 10k in rims, tires, lowering, hood, spoiler, blackout decals, blah blah blah.

I removed my spoiler when I installed my stripes. Then reinstalled.

I'm not looking to go OVER the spoiler. More like have it tucked UNDER but I guess the best way to od that is just to order the stripes and have the body shop do it when they remove the old factory spoiler and before they put the new one on.

The gf is gonna haaaaaaaaaaaaate me LOL

Nope, what I did was put new double sided tape and since I first got my knock off ebay wing the tape started peeling up in some places so after I put the stripes I also wiped on some 3m adhesive promoter and now that wing is solid!

They did not remove my spoiler when the stripes were installed.

If you have the blade spoiler it’s a beotch to remove it because there’s so much adhesive. The GT500 spoiler doesn’t have anywhere near as much adhesive to be removed so it’s easier to take it off but you’ll need new adhesive.

I might as well just get it and have the body shop do it all at one time. The hood shouldn't arrive until next week (confirmed with Pilot Freight this morning it's on it's way) so I have time to order and have Big Worm ship to Canada (since they do that now! YAS!!!!)

I was looking at their stuff for a while and it seemed like the best bet was a GT stripe kit, remove the hood louvers and then cut the strip after install and remove where the louvers go. I would go under the spoiler so if you end up wanting a different spoiler down the line it will still work. If you cut around the GT500 spoiler you can’t change to a different style.

Big Worm got back to me (hey, if you're on here). I asked them this.

Have a 2021 Mustang GT Premium however have a GT500 hood on the way and a GT500 spoiler. I'm using the Electronics antenna. Should I just order the GT500 kit and then have them trim the front bumper vinyl when applying?

That's what I would recommend. But ultimately it's up to your body shop since they are the one's working with it.
