So his is a friend of a friend story so I don't know the validity of it. Anyway the guy bought some rims for his truck and is SOL on his air pressure sensors it turns out. Something about the shape and position of where the sensors sit and they end up not being able to be read by his truck. He just gave a general warning that when looking for wheels to make sure they will for sure work with your vehicle. His rims were sold and supposed to work with his truck, but they just plain don't. Anyone here of such a thing with the wheels that are sold for our mustangs? Are there any manufacturers/brands that people have been having problems with?

not all TPMS sensors are the same. They do need to be compatable with the car. I havent heard of wheels causing issues though, that part sounds like a user error with the sensor choice or reprogramming procedure.

Some wheels and tires are so thick they dont read off the bat and you have to sync them with the car up and put the tool under the tire. I have had to do that before.
