Does anyone know of a good single source for all wheel and tire options for each of the Mustang models for 2015 (V6, Ecoboost, EB PP, GT, GT PP, wheel upgrades)?

We are trying to determine if any of the OEM wheels would be legal and useable for American Iron. We allow a maximum diameter of 18" and a max width of 9.5. Max tire size is 275mm.

Getting the diameter is pretty easy but I need to find out wheel width and offset also.

Also, it appears that the wheel studs are now larger than on the S197 cars and S197 wheels can NOT be used. Has anyone else seen this?

thanks

Yeah, there's a sticky on it in the Wheel/Tire subforum.

It looks like the widest 18" is 8" wide so everyone will likely be going aftermarket. I'm pretty sure there won't be any 18x9 or 18x9.5" wheels on any future SE models.

The V6 Mustang has 17" wheels standard but with the PP brakes, the wheels may not work. Caliper clearance is tough to measure. You really need to bolt wheels on to see what fits.

None of the factory 18" wheels (including the 18" Temp Spare) will fit over the GT PP brakes, so the thought that maybe the base V6 / EB 17" wheel "might fit" is pure fantasy !!

Ooooops, sorry I did not see that you were talking about possibility of 17" on the REAR (not front). Looking at the specs, I doubt that as well ... the PP Rear discs are 330 MM where the base V6 / EB use 320 MM on all 4 corners and the 17's are a tight fit there !!

The rear brakes are always smaller. I'd give him a decent chance that the smaller wheels would fit on the rear only. If my math is correct, we're talking about 17' wheels and 12.6" rotors. Not that the rotor matters, it's all about how the caliper and wheel are designed.
There are dozens (hundreds?) of 17" wheels for SN95 Mustangs. I run StopTech calipers on the front with 13" rotors (stock size for Cobra). There are only one or two wheels that clear these calipers without spacers.

Ok If I can fit a 17 do u thiink a 17 x10.5 will fit.I guess what im asking is whats the best wheel tire for a drag radial or slick, dont have to match just for track.

I dont think anyone makes a drag radial that will fit on the rear pp wheel.

Go to one of the tire sites like discount tire direct or tire rack and see what sizes they offer. I know they make 19" DRs but I don't know if the width will match up with what you have. The tire specs will tell you what size wheel the tire will fit on.
