Anyone did that himself ?

I have a messed up thread - I have re-cut it using a die, but stud needs to be eventually replaced.

Manual requires pulling a hub off and pressing out/in studs - I do not have hydraulic press to do it. Any alternatives ?

Shop (that on Saturday - after taking my car in - figured they don't have the stud and wasted hour and a half of my time) wants >$300 to do it (Ford Dealer).

Any insights will be appreciated.

Get a new stud and about 5 thick flat washers to go on the stud then stick a nut on it and run it down with an impact until the stud pulls fully into the hub.
