Hello everyone, I've been religiously researching pros/cons of wheel spacers for my new '22 ecoboost coupe.
oem rims were 17x7.5 37.5mm, switched to TSW Sebrings 17x8 40mm offset. I measured the distance from the tire to the inner fender and in order to just barely flush, the front would require 20mm spacers and the rear would require 10mm spacers.
I want to get 25mm (1") eibach spacers all around, is this a "good" idea?
Good as in assuming I follow all torque specs, aside from increased wheel bearing wear, slightly stiffer turning, and maybe some road rash, there wouldn't be any significant downsides?
And aside from taking a wheel off and measuring the actual stud length, would anyone be able to tell me if 25mm spacers would fit without filing down the oem studs? The rims do have a little recess in between the holes on the backside where the oem studs would be able to stick through but unfortunately I didn't think to measure that length when the rims were put on.
