Now that I've tried a few hard launches it's apparent that these things are prone to relatively bad wheel hop. I tried many different tire pressures and techniques to work around it. What are the proven modifications to address this issue properly?

With these performance tires, I've found low tire temps can really provoke wheel hop. What temp was it when this was happening?

Just like all the other S550 cars, differential, subframe and LCA bushings will solve wheel hop issues. The stock rubber bushings have lots of deflection when applying power and that's what causes wheel hop. For street oriented cars, I would stick with more urethane bushings as they still have some give which will keep the ride more comfortable vs delrin or spherical bushings. The harder materials, delrin and spherical (bearing type), will be more durable and take a lot more abuse but will create more NVH.

Here's our bushing section:

Shelby GT350 Bushings

We recommend and use BMR bushings. Let us know if you guys have any other questions.

Thanks

Definitely upgrade your lower rear control arms. I upgraded from the stock ones to the Ford Racing GT500 units and they almost completely eliminated wheel hop.

Temperatures were mid 50 degrees F. I'm going with the BMR hardware thru Leathal. Not going to deal with wheel hop and parts breakage as a result.

So what would be the highly reputable and high quality shops in the northern VA area to consider doing business with if one were interested in getting the standard set of anti-wheel hop goodies from BMR or Steeda?
