When I am on the highway and approaching stopped traffic, I always think its a good idea to hit the flashers for a minute in case someone behind me is texting, eating, reading, sleeping, etc.

Problem is, inside the car they dont flash in the dash panel.
Kind of odd. So in case I am missing something, you could leave them on and forget. I am dumber than I look so I could be missing something. It would be the first car I ever drove where the flashers dont flash inside as well.

This is a great practice. I visited France last month and drove from Paris to Nice and back. I saw this all the time on the highway.

So, I figured it out. Defective toggle switch.
It flips up, flashes, and then they go off.
So, if that and the bumper gap are the two biggest issues - I am a happy guy.

I do the same, and my flashers do flash in the gauge pod. Are you certain your flashers are working?

Great practice but if they are not paying attention as, who's to say they will see the flashers?

Yes, you have a defective part as the flashers do flash on the dash when activated.

There's a few guys that have set up LED flashers in the back window like this guy. I wouldn't recommend blue or red but yellow and white would probably do the same thing.

Theres a jeep local to me where the brake lights pulse 5-6 times over 2-3 seconds and then go solid. 3rd brake light stays solid. I am assuming if you let off the pedal and hit it again it restarts the sequence.

It definitely gets your attention, but im sure someone would claim it distracted them into crashing or for epileptic people it could cause problems if every car was to have something similar

They do make a sequential switch for Mustang tail lights that not only work on turn signals but breaks as well.

Maybe it's just me, but this sounds like a terrible idea.

Like turning flashers on in the rain too.

It's just while your slowing down for stopped traffic. One a car comes up behind me and stops I turn the flashers off.

I wouldn't use flashers in the rain.
