So i can run: adjusted speedo only vs. adjusted speedo plus tune?
I believe you need the tune to adjust the speedo.

That was the point behind my inquiry :)
So i can't adjust the speedo with the flash tool without uploading the 93 octane tune?

It doesn't have to be 93 octane it can be 87 octane and yes its the only way to adjust that unless sct updated the tuner to be able to do it I'm not sure.

Sucks. So i won't be able to separate the wheel gains from the flash gains. Meh.

I believe I can get my 0-60 down below 5.1 seconds now that I have the throttle body. If I really wanted to I would let some air out of the tires and power brake it but I feel like that's cheating.

Change the board computer to mph then...
But that's what I stated earlier, if you're interested in 0-60, the 3.55s are going to hurt you. 1/4 mile? Different story.
You can't change it to mph...

Are you guys using automatic start or countdown start?

Automatic. I tried countdown once didn't like it. Easier just to use automatic.

When i lowered the pressure i lowered it to oem spec...
Hardly cheating ;)

So i wanted to get a feel for how much better these new tires would hook and play with my launch. Unfortunately the weather blows. Only got to practice two launches yesterday night and the first impression is, that i don't hook up any better than stock.
Couple factors. Just concerning traction out the hole, not overall vehicle performance:

Pro: stickier compound, wider tire

Con: smaller sidewalls, stiffer sidewalls, 6% steeper gearing (equivalent of 3.33 gears on stock size tires)

Saturday's forecast is nice and dry.
Hopefully i'll get some timeslips!

I did not say you were I was just saying it feels like I am if I were to do that. How did you find out the recommended tire pressure for your tires? I have the Goodyear tires that come with the 18's for the 051A package.

Open the driver door and look at the sticker in the door jamb. Should list your nominal pressure. Mine was 32, so that's what i ran.
According to 2 different gauges anyway... The tpms has its own opinion on the matter lool

Oh okay for some reason I thought you went below the recommended psi for the tires. My mistake.
