I was told that the Voodoo V2 was an upgrade and much stronger and it was in the 2018 or 2019. The reason I ask is I have a 2018 I found for $46500 with 9000 miles and a 2019 with 10 miles brand new priced below msrp @ $57k.
I don't know about the "much stronger claim". We have seen several 19-20 cars with the exact same failures as the 16-18 cars. It does seem like the oil consumption issues peaked with 2016-2017 cars, but even then there are thousands of those owners with zero issues.
It comes down to budget. What is your comfortable range. For a few thousand you can add Ford extended warranty on the powertrain and have peace of mind for more years and mileage if there is an issue. But if $11K price difference is easily within your budget nobody can blame you for wanting the brand new car.
