What perks did you have as a kid because of your parents job?

My dad taught at a votech. I picked up all kinds of random knowledge from the different shop teachers. From agriculture, to culinary, to automotive, and building trades, I got a little bit of everything. My dad taught printing, and I probably can still operate an offset press. Damn, I can smell emulsion now...

My mom worked in advertising. Vendors/clients would hand out swag all the time. We regularly got free cases of TastyKake. Sometimes, there were extra tickets to corporate boxes. Catered, box-seats to AI/Snow/Mutombo era Sixers games

Small world Mik. My dad was a printer. Had his shop in Lower Manhattan. Specialized In law printing.

My dad was a farmer/rancher so we ate well and as a hobby he raced Nascar Short track and my grand dad raced dirt track so I grew up driving and working on everything from tractors to building our own race cars. I feel pretty blessed to have grown up in this type of stuff
