What do the Premier Trim includes really mean?

True, but the inserts are more different than the top of the doors. The "soft touch" is a pretty subtle difference, but the Redline door cards really brighten up the interior.
Premier Trim doesn't necessarily have RedLine / Red Inserts.

I have the Black/Black with white stitching.

I see! Then I think I can go without Premier Trim, because I will get Recaros and PP anyways. Would be just nice to have the soft touch upper door panel. But I guess I can live without, since it is not bothering me in my S197 now ;)
Thanks again!
I have the premium and the upper door panel is hard. Not that it's bothering me but are you sure the premium is supposed to have a soft touch upper door panel? It's hard on mine.

Oh, I didn't realize there was a trim on the top of the Premium package. I'm sure they just add weight.

Stitching on the boot and console lid also. Seats feel a little better. Not a lot but was worth it to me.

I doubt it adds any weight. It simply changes the material, which actually could reduce weight from a heavier harder plastics if anything. My bet is it is actually negligible either way.

i couldn't have a 15 without the premier trim...it's $400 big whoop when you are already at 40k...i think it adds a certain level of detail that non premier trim cars don't have

however if you have a non premier trim car and don't have a premier trim car to compare it too then you'll honestly never notice...at least to me.

my issue is finding cars with the premier trim! Especially a Competition Orange, pp, nav, 401a, recaros or not, and premier trim.

premium should automatically come with premier trim when it's $400... i expect ford to change this next year or change something up.

there are just so many cars out there lacking options or having a silly combination of packages.

I have the Premier Trim on my GT with Perf Pkg. The only thing I noticed that was different is the stitching in the seats and steering wheel, leather door panels with stitching, and of course the soft leather. I believe the Perf Pkg turned dash overwrites whatever dash is in the Permier Pkg. Here are some pics..

The PP overwrites the dash for sure. I have a automatic with premier and the dash is the brushed looking one not the PP one.

I wanted my convertible in TY, but I didn't want a completely black interior. I have sat in several premium trim cars. Loved the white double stitching and the buttery soft leather, but I still hated the black cave effect. So I cried all the way to the bank and went with Magnetic with Dark Saddle. Saved about $1K (with tax).
I still wish that TY could come with premium dual color trim.

Premier trim (68B) has soft touch upper door panels. Premium package (20XA, 40XA) doesn't have any affect on that.
Huge source of confusion for months. Flak is right. Premium is not the same as Premier (Color Accent Group).

One great change for 2016 might be another color choice or two for PCAG. Seems ironic that one of two colors available in the "Color" accent group is all black.
