Hello all, new S550 owner here. I just purchased a 2015 GT PP and I am puzzled as to what these seats are. I am almost certain they are not the OEM leather seats as they look nowhere near the Premium leather seats because the stitching and everything else is immensely different. Previous owner states that he received the car from the dealership with the seats this way. Im wondering if maybe they are seat covers? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

aftermarket. That stereo shows it is not a premium car. So it didn't have leather. But lots of people get aftermarket leather. Lots of vendors too, and make good stuff.

Very strange because usually the vendor would report changes like that on the CarFax no?

I don't think so. It's just a seat cover. Base seat looks OEM. Maybe unzip one and look for a tag? Or the rear seat just pops up easy

If they're seat covers it's a 50/50. Either the cloth seats are perfectly preserved underneath, or they're absolute poopy. Since it's a one owner I hope its preservation. Still want to know what brand they are though.

Never installed them, but I think you remove the cloth and replace them with the leather.

Yes, you are correct. The cloth is removed and replaced with leather.

What does the metal badge on the backrest have on it?

I do not see any badging on the backsides at all.
