Loving this colour and the gloss I can get out of it. The car is actually filthy with dust in these images taken yesterday afternoon and this morning. I gave it a wash on Sunday morning.

Haha. You will notice the significant gap to the next car. It’s about as far away as I can park from the entrance.

You can never be too far away from disaster in a carpark. I guess this guy thought he was ok LOL.

That's his own fault for parking under a plane. Heh.

I hate parking at shopping centres but it can't live in the garage all the time. I enjoy driving it to much. :)

This stuff is THICK! 5ml per bucket is all that is needed.

The collection is growing. I will not be using Snow Job on my car ever again. Do not like what it does to the feel of the surface of the car.

Trent, I have the Big Boi washer and MTM Magnum 28 gun which just needs an adaptor to fit the Big Boi hose. When I bought my gun, Nick at The Detailing Shed supplied the correct adaptor. So in essence buy your gun from Nick and ask for the correct adaptor to be included. Don't bother contacting Big Boi for adaptor help as they just refer you to a chart which may not help.
From memory the Big Boi does a Karcher style connection at the machine end (which can be removed to leave just a threaded brass pipe) and a proprietary connection on the hose at the gun end. I never used my 15m BigBoi hose and initially retained my Karcher hose as it fit the machine and enabled me to use all my Karcher fittings around the house and yard. I have since upgraded to the MTM Kobrajet hose and all quick connect couplings.
How do you like the Kobrajet hose? Could be one in my future soon...............

Ha. I am moving/moved house at the moment. The mustang is at my son's house where we were living temporarily and I was going to give the new hose a use there before I moved the mustang to its new home. When I went to his place to give it a wash I found that all the garden taps had been disconnected in readiness for some retaining wall replacement.
So long story short I am yet to use my new Kobrajet hose.
I have moved to a rural location and things have to be set up properly so that my normal car wash routines can be carried out. I now have a large(very large) shed to turn into my cave but it will take some time. Meanwhile the mustang will have to sit inside the shed on gravel and be protected from dust by its cover.

Yes, my collection too has been transforming to mainly Gyeon products with a few others thrown in.
In the "other" box I keep the earlier purchased Bowden's etc for my partner's car. It would be nice if Repco take on the complete Gyeon range. It's a common thing when I visit my Mum in Brisbane to make a detour to Car Care Products at Murarrie for must haves. I have not bought the Bathe Essence yet but I might put it on the list for when CCP have the Glass+ in stock. Also been meaning to pick up some of their water spot remover.

I have not been disappointed with any Gyeon product so far. I am looking to use the Bathe Essence in the foam canon to coat the car and then hand wash off with a rinse bucket. Will try it on the weekend. Then I got the Bathe+ to foam the car after a wash to boost/maintain the hydrophobicity. The Gtechniq ceramic sealant is meant to be anti-static. So I will try a coat of that at some point too. Might try to find an anti-static gloss enhancer rather than a sealant too.

I know you mentioned it in one of my threads, but for those reading, be sure that you dilute that appropriately. During the research for that thread on IPA and Prep Sprays, I got a lot of valuable feedback from a wide spectrum of detailers regarding these products.

I had a very experienced, no-bull detailer say to me "off the shelf, you want a 99% proof IPA. Anything else isn’t doing it properly."

On the flip side, I had someone remark "Mike Phillips always said it's not a good idea to use ipa, terrible lubricant and can soften clear." (Mike Phillips is a very well respected detailer and teacher)

I'm not saying don't use it, I did for years too, but be careful.

Eraser is mostly IPA and distilled water with a little detergent added and a pinch of something to make it smell nice . I got a 'recipe ' to follow for an eraser type product , a glass cleaner , a granite cleaner and for rubbing alcohol . All similar but different depending on use , Once ive given it a shot i will make my choice . I think its going to be fine but will be cautious using on ' unimportant ' car firstly .

Edit : I must admit finding out the paint on a mustang is water based bothers me a bit . The 2 pac on my Torana is almost bulletproof and i cannot expect the same from Mustang unfortunately . At some stage i will be fitting GT500 style bonnet and bumper and will do those in 2 pac and i will buy enough paint to do the whole car just in case . I see many complaining on how easy the Ford paint chips and i know why now . Many think its due to thin paint but its really due to soft weak paint , maybe a bit of both . I think City driven cars will have minimal issues but something to keep in mind , PPF almost a must for more ' rural' driven cars i'd say .

That's another thing I learnt during my research, much to my surprise, Eraser is not actually based on IPA. This quote from a detailing page I'm a member of, the person in question is a product specialist -

"Eraser isn't actually IPA based, it's a different solvent blend. That's why it doesn't smell! The additional ingredients in Eraser helps with additional cleaning, work time and lubrication so it's always going to be more effective than a solvent like IPA and water"

It seems I have been putting my foot in it online all week, so please don't take this as having a go at you as that is not my intention, it more me sharing information so you and others can make the right product description to suit your individual needs. The Eraser not being IPA based was actually very enlightening and really explains why it feels different to most of the IPA/Prep Sprays I tried.

When I used IPA, it was always mixed 50/50 with demineralized water, which allows it to be stored with stability. Make sure you use a nice soft, high pile towel to account for the lack of lubrication. On a Mustang with medium paint hardness, this isn't as important, on a Japanese car with ultra soft paint, you would need to be careful to not introduce marring, which would be ultra-annoying if you have just finished polishing.

Either way, I'm interested to hear how you go.
