I can confirm that the Karcher branded snow foam lance is complete rubbish. On Saturday I purchased the Autobrite one from carcareproducts (they had a special) and the difference is like night and day. The autobrite one produces foam that looks like shaving cream when it goes on, the Karcher one produces something resembling a cappuccino !!

Having said that, anyone want to purchase my old Karcher one :)

Don't have any pics to show but you can find youtube vids etc, anyone looking for a foam lance take a look at the MJJC one on ebay. Basically an Autobrite ripoff. Works at least 80% as well but costs only 30% as much.

Chemical Bros aren't bad products. I find they're just bloody confusing as they make so many different products all within the same family. Multiple different washes, multiple different coating / sealants, multiples of everything really.

Personally I use Adams Polishes throughout and I cannot fault their products..... by far the best I have used

Their Aussie importer Joseph, has a wealth of detailing knowledge and he would answer any questions you threw at him.

Adams Car Shampoo for example works well in any situation, plenty of foam out of a cannon, their foam gun ( attaches to garden hose ) or in a bucket

Anyone else (really) struggling for space in their garage could do worse than this if looking for a compact storage option for basic detailing gear. Picked it up on the 'Bay for $55 delivered.

I removed the second bottom drawer to allow for the wash/wax/foam etc. bottles to stand up. My microfibres/mitts are in the top drawer (within a separate storage box) and I've put miscellaneous crap (including brushes) in the second.

Not overly sturdy, but does the job.

Need to get back into the habit of looking after the car more before the Mustang arrives. Poor Pajero has been pretty neglected as I use it offroad and so it's got plenty of bush pinstripes etc so didn't see the point of keeping it highly detailed.

Start by refreshing my detailing supplies. Placed a sort of sample order to see what the fuss is all about with The Rag Company. While I'm yet to use them, the products certainly appear to be very nice quality.

What are you guys applying to the black skirting on your Mustang to protect it from fading?

Aerospace 303 is universally considered to be the ducks guts in plastic/trim protection....use on leather and vinyl as well...no good for velour/ cloth.
I have been using it for a while and love it for interiors and external trim.
The reviews on the following page speak for themselves.

x2. A top product. Keeps the interior plastics of the Territory looking good and has a nice satin sheen to it.

I absolutely agree re 303, it's brilliant.

As to the earlier question about a ph neutral shampoo, I use Bowdens Own Nanolicious Wash http://www.bowdensown.com.au/nanolicious-wash

This wash contains no slat or silicones, which are often present in so called low ph washes.

I'm also planning to giv their snow foam a go http://www.bowdensown.com.au/products/exterior/snow-job
