Hi everyone! I've just placed the order for a Mustang GT and was looking to do a couple of modifications to it once it arrives in winter. The things I'm looking to do is changing the DRLs to the US style LED lamps and the exhaust.

However, I've been told by my dealer that any such modifications will void my warranty, I'm curious what you've been told by your dealers regarding non intrusive modifications such as the ones I've planned. Does Ford EU have an official stance on this or is it simply up to individual dealers? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I asked my dealer about changing the exhaust and he said it's fine with the warranty. Same thing for the lights. Both are not included in the warranty, so it doesn't matter if they are stock

Thank you for your answer Ace!

I have another question for you if I may, I see you are from Germany, I was looking at configurators on German and French websites and I see they have 2 kinds of premium packages. One is 2500 and includes chrome window surrounds and silver painted wheels. The other is 2250 and has everything in the premium pack but not chrome surrounds and comes with black wheels. Could you tell me if this is a new package for 2017 model year? Or has it always been like this? My local dealer doesn't offer both, and was wondering if their brochures are outdated. Do you recall these two options packs from when you ordered your car? Thank you!

It's new for 2017 (wish we had it last year when ordering :)). We only had the pack for 2500 an nothing else. Either you took it or you had to add every option separately.

Mine doesn't mind at all! Knows about all mods I've done. Even asks me to help other customers with their exhaust etc.

E: Hope they will still be this cool about it in case something would happen :ninja: Until then, living on the edge :headbang:

My dealer is ok with anything that can't be read out by the board computer

My dealer even changed my exhaust lol. However they said that I would lose the warranty for front body panels if I change my front light units as whole (because of tribar) since it requires manipulation of those panels during the light installation. Weird.
