WARNING to others, Leather Rip!

Until this morning, I never noticed the following...The Recaro seats have a different leather, different type of material, right where the seatbelt latch sits. It's only on the inside portion of the seat, near the latch. The factory Ford seats do not have the distinction, no?

Correct, the heated and cooled leather seats do not have that type of panel.

In my case I sure wish they did!

UPDATE: They will replace the buckle hoping that the part has been "revised" during production so it doesn't happen again. The "seat cover" is a vendor item and will take 1 -2 weeks to get here. They will replace all when they arrive.

They were very straight to business on it, didn't fight me at all.

I also talked to a pro upholstery shop for their opinion on it. They advised that patching is not the way to go about this.

Guy said; "that car is too nice for me to do a patch job on it. I would remove the seat and replace that whole side panel, that is the right way to do it, a patch will look bad". Estimated $300.

Update, happy customer.

Warranty work completed, they fitted a new buckle to the seat and replaced the seat back.

Seat back part # MR3Z-6364416-DA, not a cheap item as you see.

Give credit when it is due, Ford stood by the warranty and completed the repair, more than pleasantly surprised here.

Even though the seat belt buckle is a new part# it looks to be the same as the old one, it measures the same height. I will be very conscious of this thing any time I fold the seat up.
