As I stated before, the engine is good when the engine temperatures are warm, and it's the same for the trans and diff.
On a cold day, it is great to just be sure the diff has good heat in it. I usually just drive around the neighborhood. I live in a southern state.. I'd also hit the brakes to be sure it has heat int it. I like to start the tire pressure above the factory setting by 2 pounds.
