I just want to covert to quad tips for visual purposes only, not for performance.

What do you think would be the cleanest way while keeping cost a minimum?

One way I was thinking is because the tips on the current muffler is too short I wont be able to just clamp on dual tips so I am thinking to replace the muffler only with a dual tip muffler by cutting it off and clamping on a new one.

Finally i will then cut the diffuser to fit the dual tip.

Please share your advice

I cut the valence on my 2016 GT to fit the corsa quads, it would be easier to just get different mufflers. Cost effective way would be to have a exhaust shop cut off your single tip and weld dual tips onto the stock mufflers.

currently doing the quad tips upgrade today ironically. I bought a cheapo MP Concepts rear gt350 valence (they also have simple quad tip valence for even cheaper), and am taking it to my favorite exhaust shop to get quad tips on

I don’t care if it doesnt look perfect because I am more concerned about cheap replacement

I think there’s a Roush valence out there too that fits the 15-17 cars, right? Either that or try to find a bumper for an 18+ car on eBay. I think a few people here have done that swap

I did this same thing with my old 2016 v6. I found a takeoff 2018 mustang GT stock exhaust and it literally bolted right up to the v6 stock downpipes! All I had to do was dremel the rear valence to fit the quad tips, super easy! I got the exhaust off a wrecked GT for $150 and it made the v6 sound tolerable lol!

I heard its quality/fit-a-bility/ease-of-install was *nill*. The MP Concepts cheapo GT350 rear valence worked perfectly, albeit being janky in parts/incorrect on the side tabs. However, it hasn't fallen off and is on there super tight...so no complaints after 800 miles. And it do look pretty zesty.

You can see the little tabs poking out below the valence...but honestly it doesn't really matter. you *could* cut them off, but I couldn't care less for now. Jank, I know...but it's a base model, right?

I honestly did not even see the tabs until you pointed it out. Yeah if it ends up bugging you at some point, just cut them off.

Having previously owned a 2016 V6, I never understood why Ford made two different bumpers to distinguish between base cars and premium cars. So goofy, glad they corrected that with 2018 refresh

Agreed on the refresh.

Good to know...is it Mags approved?

Looks good to me. If I still had my V6 I’d definitely consider doing it to mine 👍

You need to fold them up and use push pins in them.

The plastic seems liable enough to break if I simply tried to fold them up at a 90* angle….am I incorrect in saying this?

The ABS plastic tab has a crease so it can fold up easily.
Ask me how I know...
