Wanna Race?

I picked up my Shelby about a month ago and it is my daily driver. On a pretty consistent bases there seems to be someone who wants to race. 40* and wet out, guy in a Camaro revving up beside me.:shrug:

Today I'm stopped at a stop light and a guy in a WRX pulls up beside my and starts trying to get me to race. I'm trying to eat a sandwich, see who is calling me on the phone and shift gears so I'm not interested. He goes flying off about 60mph in a 40mph and is about a 1/4 mile ahead of me when I see a white SUV off to the left behind some tree's. He goes past the SUV and it is a county sheriff with his lights on pulling the WRX over.:doh:

It can be a little hard at times to exercise some self control but the last thing I need is a ticket or to end up like someone from a cars and coffee video.

Did you get a distracted driving ticket?

Lol people out here in NOLA rarely try to race me. Not only do many of them probably know me already, but more than anything they just get on the side of me and give me the thumbs up, including the cops. Nevermind all the illegal things about the car, lol.

There was one time though I was on the way home and some guy downshifted when he saw me creeping up, so I raced him twice, won both, got the thumbs up, and kept it moving. It's rare that people are trying to be a dick out here, or at least that's the way it seems from my interactions.

I get mostly blown pickups accelerating aggressively light to light.. and that’s usually only if I have the exhaust open. On the highway young kids in terds will try to bait me but everyone else usually just snaps pictures or they’ll ride just shy of my blind spot looking at the car for a few hundred yards etc.
